Departmental Seminar organized by the Department of Geography in association with IQAC on 7th October, 2026

The Department of Geography, Sapekhati College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a departmental seminar on the topic “Geomorphological Analysis” to enhance students’ understanding of landforms, their origin, evolution, and the natural processes responsible for shaping the Earth’s surface.

The resource person for the seminar was Dr Dilip Kr. Deka, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Geography, Gargaon College. He delivered an informative and insightful lecture on various aspects of geomorphology, explaining the processes of landform development and the significance of geomorphological analysis in understanding physical landscapes. He also highlighted the relevance of studying geomorphological processes in environmental management, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development.

The seminar was attended by Dr Biju Moran, Principal of Sapekhati College, and Mrs Dipshikha Satnami, Assistant Professor. Their presence reflected the college’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and encouraging subject-specific learning among students.
